Journal Evaluation - The Impact of Computerized Test Banks as a Study Aid

Journal Article Evaluation
Morris, L. (1988). The Impact of Computerized Test Banks as a Study Aid in an Introductory Marketing Course. Journal of Marketing Education, 2, 46.
Strategy for finding the journal article
I found this source, The Impact of Computerized Test Banks as a Study Aid in an Introductory Marketing Course, by selecting the peer reviewed journals option available through Ebsco hosts’ Business Source database. The full text was not available through UNC, however, it is available through a Google Scholas link to a publisher here. I am further exploring getting access to the material
Rationale for selection of the article
The title seemed to speak directly to my question about the impact of study aids on student performance. It also qualified as a peer reviewed article. My question speaks to the foreseeable effects of Study Aid’s such as test banks in enhancing performance and enabling greater academic success
General evaluation of the article
Unable to access the article I checked it for valididy based on the sources. Both were peer reviewed scholarly resources
Evaluation List:
 Authority – The Journal of Marketing Education seems a viable source for this kind of information
 Scope- Provides empirical information and asserts itself as a study.
 Audience – Given the writers are professors, an individual should certainly attempt to have some basic knowledge of varying test taking procedures and the available options to students
 Currency – This is not a current article, however, given that study techniques are cumulative, they build upon one another, such an article speaks to the rudimentary approach, bereft of superfluous technical jargon and not-so-up-to-date references to technology. Rather, given how narrow the title is, seems to focus directly on a technique that might be applied to other subject areas.
Example strategies used to search within the article
The file comes in PDF form, using the search tool enables easy navigation
A brief summary of the information yielded by the article
The abstract notes that performance was, indeed, enhanced by the study aids, regardless of the challenge the question presented.
Research Question
I think my question will remain the same. I look forward to accessing this article

I have placed a request in with UNC Libraries to request access to the resource. The Library will review the request at their next meeting.
